The Role
The appointed Economics Teacher will primarily teach at KS5, with the potential to contribute to GCSE Business or related subjects at KS4. The department follows a carefully sequenced, knowledge-rich curriculum designed to develop analytical thinking, quantitative reasoning and a deep understanding of microeconomic and macroeconomic principles.
Students are highly motivated and many progress to competitive university courses in Economics, Finance, Politics and related disciplines. You will deliver engaging, discussion-led lessons that connect economic theory to current global events, policy decisions and real-world case studies.
There is also scope to support enrichment activities such as economics societies, debating clubs, enterprise initiatives and university preparation programmes.
The Ideal Candidate
• QTS/PGCE and a degree in Economics or a related discipline
• Experience teaching A Level Economics
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to stretch high-achieving students
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to professional development and collaboration
