People Adviser (Fixed-Term, up to 6 Months) Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid) Salary: £40,000–£45,000 Benefits Contract: Fixed-term (up to 6 months), with potential to become permanent Start Date: As soon as possible About the Role We are currently undergoing a period of positive change, having gone live with our new CezanneHR system. We continue to update and adapt to new ways of working. We are seeking a People Adviser to join us on a fixed-term basis for up to six months. This role is key to supporting the transition for the businesses as they adapt their operational approach to people management. This contract may lead to a permanent opportunity. You will work closely with leaders across three entities within Christie Group plc: Christie Group Central Services, Christie Insurance, and Pinders, providing them with hands-on support in recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day people management. We work closely across multiple teams within different group companies, exchanging expertise, best practices, and support. You will have clear accountabilities and responsibilities, working independently while being part of a broader group People team that offers peer mentorship and support. We are looking for someone proactive, organised, and confident in navigating change, someone who enjoys making things better for others and can bring clarity and structure to evolving processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes Embed HR workflows into the new CezanneHR system Provide clear, practical advice on employment law and upcoming changes Create and personalise HR templates, policies, and frameworks Coach and mentor managers to build confidence in people leadership Facilitate training and development initiatives Act as a trusted HR presence across the business Support change management and cross-team collaboration Keep stakeholders informed with timely updates Help shape a smooth transition to business-as-usual operations What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and a thoughtful, people-focused approach to their work. Specifically, we’re looking for someone who can: Apply their HR knowledge confidently, especially around employment law and day-to-day people matters Take initiative and stay organised, you will be managing several tasks at once and will need to prioritise effectively Work well with different businesses, teams and individuals, understanding that each may have their own needs and ways of working Support and guide others, whether that’s helping a manager handle a people issue, mentoring a colleague, or sharing your knowledge in a way that builds confidence across colleague groups, managers or the wider group people team Communicate clearly and respectfully, whether in writing, in meetings, or one-to-one conversations Understand how people may feel during times of change, and respond with empathy, fairness, and professionalism Stay calm and focused when things are busy or uncertain, and help others do the same Bring a genuine interest in creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, included, and supported CIPD qualification is not a mandatory requirement; you must be able to demonstrate your commitment to your own personal and professional learning What You Can Expect Hybrid working: typically 3 days per week in our Milton Keynes office Supportive onboarding and access to the right tools and people A collaborative culture that values open communication and shared learning Wellbeing support and benefits in a friendly support environment A clear and respectful recruitment process: CV review, informal chat, panel interview, and offer Clear expectations: you’ll know what success looks like from day one Inclusion and Accessibility We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, included, and empowered to thrive.
