BT Group, based in Birmingham, England, is searching for a Learning & Capability Specialist to design, develop and deliver impactful learning interventions across the organization.


Hybrid Working

3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.


Locations

Birmingham, London, Manchester, Bristol.


Why This Job Matters

The Learning & Capability Specialist plays a crucial role in scoping, designing and facilitating Learning, Leadership & Capability products and interventions for BT Group. Working closely with senior learning product owners, you will lead end‑to‑end delivery of learning and capability interventions that drive sustainable value and address business challenges.


What You’ll Be Doing

* Work as part of a delivery squad, supporting activities across the product lifecycle for capability interventions.
* Partner with product owners on individual products or portfolio segments and manage delivery teams, including external suppliers.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to capture customer needs and translate them into user stories and technical requirements.
* Design, develop, launch and facilitate learning and capability interventions and refine them based on continuous user feedback.
* Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to track objectives, outcomes and impact of learning interventions.
* Measure, monitor and analyze learning product outcomes, ensuring value for the business.
* Provide expert facilitation and coaching to individuals and groups, applying best practice in behaviour change and capability development.
* Apply commercial insight, managing product delivery against budget and ROI.


The Skills You’ll Need

* Learning Design, including Digital – designing and developing learning interventions that are efficient, effective and digitally enabled.
* Learning Evaluation – measuring learning impact using quantitative and qualitative methods aligned to organisational objectives.
* Agile Methodologies – managing projects through short sprints and iterative planning.
* Behavioural Change – applying behavioural science and change management principles.
* Project / Programme Management – leading projects through initiation, planning, execution and closure.
* Stakeholder Management – building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Data Analysis – interpreting data to uncover patterns and trends.
* Continuous Improvement – continually enhancing products and processes.
* Risk Management – identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks.
* Commercial Acumen – applying deep business knowledge to inform decisions.
