Responsibilities
* Working closely with the Account Manager, the Trust Water Safety Manager and the Mechanical team to ensure that the objectives of the Trust are achieved with specific focus on the provision of safe and secure premises and equipment.
* The Water Safety Manager will be the focal point for assurance relating to Hard FM water services compliance at site.
* The post holder will be professionally responsible and accountable for the monitoring, inspection and reporting on the legislation, standards, delivery and risk management of Hard FM Water Services to ensure the Premises Assurance Model (Hard FM Safety Domain) is reviewed and maintained consistently.
* They will advise a specialist team focused upon the management of safe water services within the site and co‑ordinate with the client teams in the delivery of safe water service.
* To provide expert specialist and professional technical knowledge and expertise to other estates staff, directors and senior managers and act as a focal point for all departments, and other service users within the Trust regarding day‑to‑day Hard FM operational water safety issues.
* Support the formulation of long‑term strategic plans, policies and procedures relating to organisational objectives and the design, maintenance and operation of Hard FM Water Services which impact across the Trusts, including disaster recovery and contingency planning.
* Work alongside internal quality team(s) to support the auditing process to review the quality of services.
Qualifications
* HNC Diploma in Building Management Services.
* Maintaining Safe Water Systems – ACOP L8, HTM 04‑01.
* Significant post‑qualification experience and track record of managing Hard FM Water assets and services within a complex health environment.
* Effective communication, presentational and reporting skills.
* Highly developed technical knowledge and appreciation of Hard FM Water Services.
* This includes statutory legislation and DH mandatory and good practice guidance.
