The Role
We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to making a difference. In this role, you will:
* Collaborate closely with foster parents to ensure meaningful supervision of placements.
* Utilize your experience in working with foster parents as professional colleagues.
* Engage in a multi-disciplinary approach to support our mission.
* Travel across the North West, so a full driving license and confident driving skills are essential.
This is a dynamic position that combines quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents. You will be responsible for:
* Maintaining high standards through regular supervision of foster parents.
* Recruiting, training, and supporting foster parents.
* Promoting the welfare of children placed with Orange Grove Fostercare.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A qualification in Social Work or equivalent, registered with Social Work England.
* Experience in fostering and a comprehensive understanding of fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding legislation.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
Working Conditions
This role may require occasional work after 5:00 PM and on weekends, as well as participation in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
