Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated Alternative Provision Support Workers to join our network of schools and provisions across Bradford.
You’ll be working with pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning within mainstream education — including those with SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), challenging behaviour, or additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to students in an alternative provision setting
* Assist pupils in managing behaviour, building confidence, and engaging positively with learning
* Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to promote progress and wellbeing
* Support with de-escalation strategies and behaviour management
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or SEN in UK schools or alternative settings
* A calm, resilient and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Team player with a genuine passion for inclusion and student success
Preferred Qualifications:
* Team Teach / MAPA training (or willingness to complete)
* Relevant education or child support qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
