As part of our national expansion, we are looking for an experienced and driven Operations & business development Manager to lead operations, manage contracts, and drive new business growth across the UK. Duties and responsibilities This dual-role position combines operational leadership with business development. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day delivery across multiple contracts, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction, while also identifying and converting new commercial opportunities within the region. Key Responsibilities Oversee the delivery of contracts across the UK. Manage, support, and develop site supervisors, team leaders, and frontline staff. Conduct regular site audits and quality checks to ensure contractual compliance and high standards. Liaise with clients to maintain strong working relationships, address concerns, and identify improvement opportunities. Ensure health & safety compliance, training records, and risk assessments are up to date. Work closely with Management to support operational reporting, staffing levels, and cost control. Support mobilisation of new contracts, including recruitment, equipment, and systems setup. Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Conduct site visits and produce professional proposals in conjunction with the senior leadership team. Build and maintain strong local networks to support growth and tender opportunities. Attend networking events and represent the company at business functions. Work with the marketing and tender team to submit proposals and presentations to potential clients. Report on sales activity, pipeline, and conversion metrics. Experience and qualifications Proven background in Operations or Contract Management within the business sectors. Experience managing multiple client accounts and frontline teams across multiple sites. Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and win new business.
