This role supports the management of contracts and suppliers within Hampshire County Council related to IT Services, Infrastructure, Software, and Applications. Working within the Contract Management Team and broader Service Management Team, you will contribute to developing and implementing policies and practices for contract negotiation, establishment, service oversight, and compliance of major IT contracts.
Your key objectives include assisting the Contract Management Team in managing live contracts, procurement, and renewal processes. You will aim to achieve best value, identify opportunities to consolidate contracts, and seek economies of scale to reduce costs, while ensuring contracts support service continuity and compliance with minimum disruption, balanced with acceptable risk levels for IT and Directorate operations.
Ideal candidates will have experience in IT Contract Management, IT Procurement, or IT Software Asset Management. Strong teamwork, adaptability, proactivity, motivation, and excellent planning and organizational skills are essential to review existing contracts and support procurement of new services.
