We are currently seeking an experienced and organised Stores Supervisor / Stores Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy stores department for a 6 month fixed term contract, covering a maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong inventory management and team leadership experience to join a growing manufacturing/engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and support the daily running of the stores department, including picking, deliveries, and issuing parts to production teams Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock control at all times Ensure the timely receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to production Maintain accurate stock records using ERP and inventory management systems Liaise with Engineering teams to resolve Bills of Materials (BOM) issues Work closely with Production teams to resolve delivery and material supply issues Carry out regular stock counts and cycle counts Investigate and reconcile stock variances Supervise and support a team of 3 Storekeepers Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental regulations within the stores area Attend Health & Safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Manage material changes and amendments to orders Oversee forklift maintenance, including arranging servicing and repairs Resolve supplier invoice queries efficiently Assist with recruitment and onboardi...
