Senior Site Manager / Project Manager – Freelance Dumfries – Contract until end of May
Your new company You’ll be joining a leading UK main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, complex construction projects across the education, commercial and public sector markets. Due to continued growth and an exciting new school development in Dumfries, they are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager / Project Manager to support delivery through a key phase of the programme.
Your new role As the Senior Site Manager / Project Manager on this new-build school project, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, subcontractor coordination and driving progress to meet deadlines.Key duties include:• Oversight of on-site construction activities and ensuring compliance with H&S standards• Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are carried out to specification and programme• Leading site meetings and reporting on progress to the project team• Maintaining quality assurance processes and resolving on-site issues promptly• Supporting handover milestones and ensuring smooth project delivery through to May
What you'll need to succeed • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager on new build construction projects• Strong background in main contracting• Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills• Ability to work independently and drive progress on a live site• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications• Availability to start at short notice and commit until project completion in May
