Overview
Travelers Insurance are recruiting for a Senior Underwriting Operations Associate to join our Operations team based in Redhill, Surrey. The Senior Associate plays a crucial role in helping to maintain effective and efficient production services to support Travelers Europe\'s strategic goals. This role provides comprehensive administrative support to facilitate the end-to-end underwriting lifecycle from pre-quote processing, delivering new business quotes, renewal terms, and endorsements across all lines of business. The role may act as a subject matter expert (SME) for underwriting operations capabilities, leading training and development of Associates and other key stakeholders.
Travelers Europe offers a hybrid work arrangement: three days in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may change at the Company\'s discretion.
What Will You Do?
* Underwriting Lifecycle Support: thoroughly review and monitor in-scope submissions processing and clearance in line with service levels.
* Manage work assignments and completion of tasks related to the underwriting lifecycle, including submissions analysis, new business and renewal quote preparation, non-renewals, technical accounting, document issuance, endorsements (financial and non-financial) and cancellations.
* Manage and support account documentation and document storage, including quotations, evidence of cover (policies), statements of values, engineering reports, actuarial pricing models, reinsurance contracts, policy endorsements, and cancellations.
* Data, Records and Document Management: ensure in-scope underwriting submissions are stored and indexed within service levels; complete accurate policy data entry and perform data cleansing as required; liaise with underwriters and brokers to process premium corrections efficiently.
* Regulatory Compliance, Governance and Controls Assurance: support Europe Operations Management team in closing Corporate Audit corrective actions and other related internal controls assurance work; monitor and support regulatory compliance as instructed and adhere to Travelers values and policies.
* Standard Operating Procedures and Training: contribute to creating, maintaining and signing off on Europe Operations SOPs; oversee training and onboarding to support Europe Operations and other TRV Europe business functions; promote process standardisation and best practices; ensure SLA compliance and lead root cause analysis of SLA gaps.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management: represent EU Operations in internal stakeholder meetings and support communication; assist in designing and delivering process, people, systems, data, and regulatory change.
* Miscellaneous: perform other assigned duties; support recruitment for the Europe Operations Management team as required.

* Experience using data analysis and data insights to monitor operational performance.
* Experience with process documentation (procedures and process mapping).
* Familiarity with market-leading underwriting and support applications, based on past work experience.
