Responsibilities
* Master current and legacy products, including parts and servicing knowledge, to inform and support customers efficiently.
* Act as a brand ambassador and present system designs to Sales and customers, delivering product demonstrations at trade shows and external events.
* Update internal documentation to ensure the most accurate information is available to customers.
* Support the Service team with training on test fixtures and other relevant tools, aiding root‑cause analysis to improve product quality.
* Build harmonious relationships with the Service and Technical Support team in the UK and with Direct Distributors.
* Manage day‑to‑day enquiries from customers, providing excellent support, quotations, and availability via the internal software system.
* Manage on‑site commissioning of projects.
* Collaborate with teams to specify innovative new product development.
* Engage with the market to keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends, driving OutBoard sales and staying ahead of the curve.
* Use own initiative to prioritise workload and problem‑solve, flagging senior team members when appropriate.
* Embed Health and Safety knowledge to ensure safety standards are met when working at customer venues.
Qualifications and Skills
* Degree in Theatre Production, Live Performance, Technical Production, or similar (preferred but not essential). Experienced candidates without a degree will be considered.
* Previous experience in the live events industry in a relevant role such as Theatre Technician, Rigger, Systems Engineer, Product Support, or Product Specialist.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Willingness to travel to events and a UK driving licence.
* Enthusiastic with excellent attention to detail.
* Fast‑paced, capable of multitasking and working across varied deadlines.
* Can work unsupervised after a period of training.
* Excellent communication skills.
Job Conditions
This is a full‑time position of 37.5 hours per week, with standard working hours of 8:45 am to 5:30 pm Monday‑Thursday and 8:45 am to 4:00 pm Friday. Unpaid lunch breaks are 1 hour Monday‑Thursday and 45 minutes Friday.
