OverviewA large services-based organisation in Leeds is seeking a driven and analytically minded FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, performance reporting, and commercial insight across the business. This role is ideal for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to step into a more strategic, forward-looking finance position with strong exposure to senior stakeholders,Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning, Budgeting & ForecastingSupport the annual budget, quarterly reforecasting, and long-term planning cyclesConsolidate financial inputs from multiple departments, ensuring accuracy and consistencyAssist with scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support decision-makingChallenge assumptions and highlight risks, opportunities, and trendsPerformance Reporting & InsightPrepare monthly management reporting packs, including P&L, cashflow, KPIs, and variance analysisInvestigate performance drivers and provide clear, concise commentaryTrack operational and commercial KPIs, identifying areas for improvementSupport the month-end process with analysis and insight rather than transactional workBusiness PartneringWork closely with operational and commercial teams to provide financial support and challengeTranslate financial data into meaningful insight for non-finance stakeholdersSupport business cases, investment appraisals, and cost-benefit analysisBuild strong relationships across the organisation to improve financial understandingProcess & Systems ImprovementEnhance reporting tools, dashboards, and data qualitySupport automation and standardisation of FP&A processesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance functionAssist with system upgrades or BI tool development (e.g., Power BI)Ad-Hoc AnalysisProvide analytical support for strategic projects, pricing reviews, and operational initiativesPrepare presentations and insight for senior leadership and board-level reportingCandidate ProfileSkills & ExperienceStrong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, or management reportingAdvanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is advantageousExperience in a large, multi-site or services-based organisation is beneficialComfortable working with large data sets and producing clear, insightful analysisBehaviours & AttributesCurious, proactive, and commercially awareStrong communication skills with the ability to influence and challengeHigh attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilityAble to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving businessQualificationsPart-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)Strong academic backgroundWe are happy to provide application and/or accessibility support, please contact your Marks Sattin or Grafton consultant directly to discuss your needs.
