The University of Southampton Students’ Union has 140+ student sports clubs catering to a range of standards, from beginners to high-performance athletes. Our teams compete in various leagues and fixtures, including British University & College Sports and Inter-Mural Leagues under the banner of Team Southampton.
The Sport Coordinator will collaborate with other SUSU Activities staff to support our sports clubs in delivering an outstanding experience to members. Responsibilities include overseeing and supporting clubs with health and safety, club development, and driving improvements in activities and events. This includes administering fixtures, facilities, finance, training, and administrative processes.
About You
This role involves significant administrative support to clubs and serves as a key contact for committee members. We seek an approachable, enthusiastic individual who can communicate effectively, engage students, and build relationships to enhance their university experience. A flexible, 'can-do' attitude is essential in this fast-paced, diverse student-led environment.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive in staying updated with sector-relevant information and best practices, and capable of problem-solving and managing multiple projects efficiently.
