Driver Hire Romford is currently recruiting for an Experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Forklift Licence to work with a well-established company. This is a hands-on role offering a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Job Specification:
You will be working in a busy warehouse environment, supporting daily operations and ensuring goods are handled, stored, and dispatched efficiently. This role is physically demanding and requires someone who is comfortable being on their feet throughout the day.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
06:30 AM – 16:30 PM
(1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
2. Loading and unloading goods
3. Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
4. General warehouse duties and housekeeping
5. Working closely with warehouse supervisors and team members
6. Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
What You Need:
7. Must have own transport to commute to and from work.
8. Previous warehouse experience in handling Building Materials for the Building Trade (essential).
9. A valid and up-to-date Forklift Licence
10. Strong work ethic and willingness to carry out physical tasks
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
12. Good timekeeping and reliability
13. Awareness of health and safety procedures
