You can be part of it What You Will be Doing: You'll be managing the running, monitoring and intervention of forecasting models across Drax Ensuing accurate and timely forecasts to enable our trading, pricing and finance teams to make cost effective decisions. Identifying forecasting trends, extracting customer insights and pinpointing areas for improvements throughout the forecasting process. Formulating in-depth analyse regarding forecasting performance, whilst also ensuring the development and maintenance of suitable reporting. Leading resolutions in complex problems across the Forecasting & Analysis Team and business This role would be great for You if: Have a Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline or equivalent Have a good understanding of the wholesale electricity market, industry fundamentals and interaction and the ability to develop an understanding of the commercial background to Drax Group market activities Strong IT skills including Advanced Excel, SQL, PowerBI and VBA (experience of Python would be nice to have) You are a self-starter and able to work independently, assess stakeholder requirements and the level of detail required and create solutions even when information is limited, and/or the problem is ill-defined You are able to take a new problem, determine the requirements and use your knowledge, experience and initiative to identify/support develop analytical models (including both existing and new approaches from first principles) to produce a solution which is appropriate for the situation and stakeholders What We Can Give You: We promote a positive working environment in which support and rewards are key.
