Role Description
This is a volunteer part-time role based in Edinburgh, ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in media and content production. As a Media Editor, you will support the creation and editing of digital content to ensure it aligns with the festival's creative vision and brand identity.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in editing video content for social media and festival promotions
- Support the development of multimedia content across digital platforms
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team, Communications Officer, Editor-in-Chief, and Head of Press
- Help maintain consistent visual storytelling across all channels
- Adapt content for different platforms and formats
- Stay curious about media trends to help enhance audience engagement

Qualifications
Basic knowledge of video editing and production
Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar tools
Interest in digital media, film, and creative industries
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
Currently studying or recently graduated in Media, Film, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required)
A portfolio or showreel of any relevant work (academic or personal projects welcome)
