Overview
We invite applications from dynamic and enthusiastic anaesthetists to join our friendly and forward-thinking team at Leighton Hospital, Crewe.
The post is based in the leafy Cheshire countryside near Crewe and Nantwich, with access to nearby towns, villages, walking and cycling routes, and local schools of high quality.
Duties
* Anaesthesia for elective and emergency cases.
* Participation in a variety of surgical lists, including paediatric theatre (ENT, dental, ophthalmology, urology or general surgery), obstetric, and emergency or trauma sessions.
* Involvement in the general on‑call rota and provision of weekend trauma lists (three trauma weekends per year).
Schedule & Working Pattern
The position is offered at 10 Programmed Activities (PA)—8 PA for Direct Clinical Care sessions and 2 PA for Supporting Professional Activity.
Opportunities to contribute to all aspects of the department’s activities and those of the wider Trust are available.
Mentoring & Support
A Trust-wide mentoring programme supports newly appointed consultants with confidential knowledge, advice and support to help them settle into their new role.
Qualifications
* Full registration with the GMC and Licence to Practice.
* On the Specialist Register, or within six months of obtaining the Certificate of Completion of Training at the time of interview.
