Senior Support Worker
Location: Paignton, England, United Kingdom
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 40 hours per week
Salary: £14.17 - £14.99 per hour

* Management Development Programme – support progression from Support Worker to Registered Manager
Shift Pattern: 16/24 hour (including sleep‑in) on a one on two off or two on four off basis.
Responsibilities
* Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager where required.
* Ensure the team of Residential Care Workers is up to date with mandatory training and support individual development.
* Communicate with the on-site team and raise awareness of individual care plans and their implementation.
* Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files for monitoring and evaluation.
* Provide support and care to young people within our services.
* Encourage preparation for re-entering education or engagement in current schooling.
* Travel with young people to and from school or college.
* Prepare food at meal times and maintain a clean, tidy environment (cleaning, laundry, etc.) throughout the day.
* Organise and facilitate social activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Must hold a full UK driving licence.
* Desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
* 12 months senior experience in a residential setting is highly desirable; applications from those at the start of their journey are also encouraged.
* DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
