As a Management Accountant, this role is about working collaboratively alongside department managers across their wider business, understanding their challenges, and helping find practical, effective solutions. You’ll be a natural problem solver with a proactive mindset, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing retail environment. Your main responsibilities will include: Prepare monthly management accounts with a focus on stock reconciliation and cost of sales, including interpreting the figures and preparing clear narrative reports. Prepare monthly store performance dashboards to support the retail team, interpreting data and providing insightful commentary. Manage cash flow and working capital. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations with a strong focus on cost-saving opportunities. Reconcile insurance sales and prepare VAT returns. Ensure licensing compliance for all stores (e.g., second-hand dealer requirements). Calculate store commissions and bonuses to tight deadlines Manage supplier payment runs. Prepare statutory year-end accounts and audit schedules. Work closely with multiple managers, building trust and delivering clear, constructive insights To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for: ICAS, ACCA, or CIMA qualified Proven Management Accounting background (retail, hospitality or stock accounting preferred) Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-focused mindset Naturally positive and resilient, able to build rapport quickly Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with managers at all levels Advanced Excel and strong financial systems skills Please Note - this will be an office based role Reward: A starting salary of up to £45k per annum Hours of Work – 37.5hrs per week, between the hours of 8am to 6pm (flexibility is offered) Pension Scheme Employee Discounts Life Insurance Health Cash Plan Fully Funded Qualifications Variety of Incentives Employee Assistance Training Opportunities … and so much more!
