Emtec Fire Systems are a specialist contractor operating within the fire and security sector. We design, install, commission, and maintain a wide range of fire and security systems for clients across the UK. As our team continues to grow, we're looking to add an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to support our operations in Edinburghand surrounding areas.
The Role
As a key member of our field-based engineering team, you'll be responsible for the installation repair and maintenance of fire and security systems, along with maintenance and fault finding on existing setups. This is a mobile role with a company van provided, and while you’ll be primarily based in Edinburgh, there will be travel to Dundee andother sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control and CCTV systems.
* Deliver high standards of customer service and workmanship across all tasks.
* Ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, health & safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
* Complete all job-related paperwork accurately and on time.
* Maintain a safe working environment and follow all site-specific safety procedures.
* Take part in the on-call rota as required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience working with fire and security systems in a similar role.
* Strong technical knowledge across Intruder, Fire, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
* Knowledge of networks and I.P systems would be a big plus.
* Sound understanding of fire safety legislation and industry best practices.
* Well-organised with good attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
* Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
