Do you want to work for one of the UK’s leading Port Operators, with the opportunity to develop your skillset? We are seeking an experienced Electrician to work at our Glasgow site and be part of a team which keeps the world moving!
You will support the Clydeport Engineering Department, based at KGV Docks, to safely and effectively complete planned and reactive maintenance work, ensuring all electrical equipment is compliant with current standards and legislation, with zero defects to maximise customer satisfaction. You will work towards appointed authorised person for HV and LV systems as per the Peel Ports Electrical Safety Management Systems.
You will use fault finding diagnostic equipment to ensure the reactive maintenance impact is minimised as well as resolving unplanned failures in a timely manner to meet reliability targets, proposing tactical solutions to ensure activities stay on schedule. You will expand your skills to become multi‑skilled in mechanical and electrical engineering to contribute to the ongoing success of the team. This role will be shift based.
You will be a time served Electrician, and have experience of maintaining heavy plant and machinery in a heavy industrial sector and be used to working effectively in a critical and busy environment. Alongside this, you will have:
