Senior OD&T Consultant - Job Description
We are seeking a part-time Senior OD&T Consultant for a fixed-term contract until 31st May 2026 (may be extended) to join our Talent Team within our People & Culture Team at Barnett Waddingham. This is a part-time role, likely 3 days (possibly 4 days) per week.
This role can be based in our Amersham, Birmingham, Cheltenham, or London office on a hybrid basis, with occasional travel to other offices.
This position reports to the Head of Organisational Development & Talent and plays a key role in delivering the Senior Talent & OD strategy by designing and delivering impactful development solutions for our leadership pool. You will act as an internal consultant, partnering with stakeholders to build capability, support organisational effectiveness, and lead key development initiatives.
A typical day includes:
* Leading firmwide talent initiatives, including senior talent cycles and succession planning pilots
* Developing and implementing senior-level behavioural, professional skills, and leadership development programs
* Partnering with stakeholders to shape L&D and OD solutions aligned with firm priorities
* Facilitating team development sessions, workshops, and targeted learning interventions (virtual and in-person)
* Advising on internal development needs and supporting OD initiatives, leadership programs, and capability planning
* Contributing to the annual L&D plan in collaboration with the wider Talent & OD team
* Collaborating across People & Culture and the business to embed continuous learning and development
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Proven experience in a Learning & Development or Organisational Development role
* Experience designing and implementing senior leadership development and succession planning pilots
* Expert facilitation skills in behavioural skills development
* Experience working with talent evaluation tools, psychometric testing, and senior coaching
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Excellent communication, planning, and analytical skills
* A solid understanding of behavioural development, stakeholder engagement, and talent strategy
