We are looking for a skilled and customer‑focused Gas Engineer to deliver a consistently high standard of gas servicing, repairs and installations. You will ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in fullpliance with Gas Safe regulations and current Building Regulations, placing customer satisfaction at the heart of everything you do.
This is a varied and rewarding role, offering opportunities to support apprentices, contribute technical expertise and develop professionally within a supportive team.
Your new role
1. Carry out gas servicing, repairs and installations efficiently and effectively, in line with all relevant legislation, policies and Gas Safe requirements
2. Diagnose and repair faults, aiming for first‑time fixes while maintaining quality standards
3. Escalateplex issues to senior staff where appropriate
4. Ensure works arepleted in a cost‑effective manner, including identifying and pre‑ordering materials and keeping customers informed of delivery timescales
5. Maintain current knowledge of gas‑related legislation, regulations and policy changes
6. Provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues and other trades when required
7. Participate in an out‑of‑hours emergency call‑out rota
8. Maintain thepany vehicle, carry out regular safety checks and report defects promptly
9. Support the development of apprentices, trainees and improving engineers
10. Attend meetings, training and development activities to support ongoing professional growth
11. Use electronic systems to update work records and issue electronic Landlord Gas Safety Certificates
12. Undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the role
What you'll need to succeed
13. Current ACS accreditation (minimum CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, CKR1)
14. City & Guilds Level 3 in Domestic Heating
15. Strong technical knowledge of gas systems, heating, control systems and wet hot water systems
16. Good understanding of relevant Building Regulations
17. Excellent customer service andmunication skills
18. Ability to manage workloads effectively under pressure
19. Full UK driving licence
20. Physically able to undertake demanding manual work
21. Proof of no historic or pending prohibition notices with HSE or Gas Safe
