Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000pa + car allowance + benefits package
Great opportunity for a Logistics General Manager to manage the site of a well-established business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a large team - headcount of over 200 - along with operational and financial performance across warehousing and transport. You will be managing the site budget so a strong financial and commercial acumen is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial management of the operation
Effectively lead the distribution operation to provide a reliable and punctual service and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsible for correct staffing levels to maintain service and productivity.
Drive efficiency through continuous improvement and KPI management.
Lead, engage and coach a large team.
Ensure inventory accuracy and write-off of stock is controlled.
Set strategy, drive innovation and lead change.
Engage with key customers to improve service and support future business growth.
Key Skills/Experience:
Previous senior management experience within an FMCG, customer centric distribution environment.
The credibility and gravitas necessary not only to engage with and develop the workforce but to also build an excellent working relationship with clients.
Proven continuous improvement experience along with the capacity to identify areas for improved processes /productivity.
Budget management experience.
Strong commercial acumen
