The Opportunity
As a Senior Ecologist, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
* Leading and delivering ecological assessments and habitat design
* Developing practical, innovative mitigation and compensation strategies
* Acting as Ecology Lead on projects
* Managing projects from bid stage through to completion
* Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders
* Producing and reviewing high-quality technical reports
* Mentoring and supporting junior team members
About You
We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a passion for making a difference.
* Good knowledge of UK ecology, habitats, and wildlife legislation
* Experience with:
* UKHab surveys
* Preliminary Ecological Assessments (PEA)
* Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA)
* Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA)
* Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
* Excellent report writing and communication skills
* Experience with protected species surveys, mitigation, and licensing
* Project management and client engagement experience
* Membership of CIEEM (or equivalent), with Chartership (or working towards)
* Full UK driving licence
