This is an opportunity for a suitable qualified applicant with the relevant experience to join a team which is committed to providing a quality care service on a part time basis.

This is a part time position working alongside a team

1. Assisting the key worker with person centred care planning for named individuals.
2. Actively assist individuals with focusing on a range of activities and personal tasks that are stimulating and meaningful.
3. Follow agreed support requirements and support plans and record outcomes and achievements in each individuals care plan.
4. You will work flexibly as part of a team delivering personal care and some domestic support to residents. This will include shift work and weekends.
5. Assist with personal care, showering, toileting etc. when required, and assisting residents to maintain good hand hygiene.
6. Have a flexible approach as times may vary in accordance with the needs of each individual.
7. Work well in a team or work as an individual.
8. During and at the end of each shift maintain a high level of Infection control by keeping the environment for each resident within their own rooms safe, homely, clean and tidy.
9. Assist keyworkers with communication and correspondence with family/friends

Assist with preparation of drinks and snacks.

Good general education.

Understanding the needs of Elderly/Dementia.

Work in the field of older services and be able to assist in the creation of an environment where social, physical and emotional needs are met.

Training in the field of elderly care.

Keeping accurate records.

Knowledge of Moving and handling practice within a residential care home.

Knowledge of needs of the older person and issues facing them.

Aware of the council’s aims and objectives.

Awareness of policies and procedures.

Able to work in a changing and evolving environment.

An ability to work as part of a team or to work confidently as an individual.

Supportive nature, with an understanding of adults rights to independence and strong commitment to equality and inclusion.

Trustworthy and reliable, enjoys a challenge with a flexible approach.
