Practice Development Pharmacist

We are looking for someone with significant experience of clinical Pharmacy who wants to pass on their experience by training and developing our team, in particular foundation and early career pharmacists. Being on the wards with Pharmacists helping them to deliver a Pharmacy service that is high quality, safe, and improving patient outcomes. We are willing to discuss progressive positions (Band 7 to 8a) for those candidates with less experience than desired for the post.
We need someone who will be a role model for Pharmacy, having strong leadership, organisational and training/coaching skills.
A relocation package of up to £8,000 is available for those relocating to the area.
Main duties of the job
* Responsible for the delivery of the Pharmacy education and training programme.
* Managing the Training Foundation Pharmacists.
* Acting as a clinical tutor for Early Career Pharmacists.
* Support the training of Pharmacy Technicians.
* Support the education of other healthcare professionals on medication related issues.
* Opportunity to explore teaching opportunities at the University of East Anglia School of Pharmacy.
You will also undertake other duties expected of Senior Pharmacists such as providing clinical, professional and mentoring support to our junior Pharmacists and ward‑based Technicians to deliver a smooth service for patients, including a small proportion of your time providing a clinical service.
Education and qualifications
* Pharmacist registered with GPhC.
* Post‑graduate certificate and diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience.
* Management/Supervisory certificate or diploma.
Experience and knowledge
* Extensive experience of working in an operational pharmacy environment including in hospitals.
* Experience of managing a team.
* Clinical Pharmacy knowledge and experience.
* Knowledge of national guidelines relating to medicines optimisation and medicines safety.
* Research and development experience.
* Medicines Governance experience.
