About the Role
One of Loriens Public Sector clients are seeking a Research Officer to support the Principal Research Officer in delivering high-quality research and analysis. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work within Scotland's justice system.
You will be involved in:
* Designing and conducting in-depth qualitative interviews.
* Analysing qualitative data and summarising key findings.
* Writing project reports and literature reviews.
* Identifying and scheduling interview participants.
* Presenting findings to senior stakeholders through written and oral briefings.
* Providing ad hoc research support as required.
Essential Criteria
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
* Postgraduate qualification in research or equivalent research experience.
* Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and analysing qualitative research projects.
* Strong independent analytical skills and judgement.
Desirable Criteria
* 3+ years of research experience or a postgraduate degree in a social research discipline.
* Knowledge of or experience with the Scottish criminal justice system.
* Experience interviewing high-status respondents.
* Experience researching sexual offences.
