Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as housekeeping manager ideally within a hotel environment, ensuring that our guests enjoy a pristine, welcoming environment during their stay. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively. This position will form part of our managerial structure and input at HOD meetings will be required.
Additional service charge and gratuities share which is processed through a Tronc account.
Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise the housekeeping team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service are maintained throughout the property.
* Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
* Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
* Train and mentor housekeeping team on best practices in cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service.
* Collaborate with other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities with hotel operations.
* Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are readily available for staff use.
* Address guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
* Uphold health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the hotel or hospitality industry is essential.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
