How you’ll make an impact: The Director of Commercial Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and driving the global commercial marketing strategy across Travelport’s key segments, including Travel Partners and Agency. This role oversees regional marketing execution, ensures alignment with brand positioning, and partners closely with commercial leadership to support revenue growth, customer retention, and market expansion. The Director leads a high-performing global team, fosters innovation, and ensures marketing efforts are measurable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives as well as partnering closely with commercial leadership to deliver measurable impact across the customer lifecycle. Your role in action: Strategic Leadership & Planning Define and lead the global commercial marketing strategy in alignment with corporate goals and regional priorities. Translate business objectives into integrated marketing plans that drive acquisition, growth, retention, and brand equity. Team Leadership & Development Nurture a high-performing global marketing team and foster a culture of performance, innovation, and collaboration across global marketing functions. Lead and mentor the Head of Customer Marketing who oversees product launch, customer adoption, partner/supplier marketing and regional marketing strategy and execution - ensuring marketing strategies are aligned with product roadmaps and customer success goals, driving engagement and retention across global markets. Lead and mentor the Head of New Business and Reseller Marketing, responsible for operator marketing, reseller enablement, and customer acquisition – supporting the commercial teams in winning new business and expanding Travelport’s footprint through targeted campaigns and strategic initiatives including lead generation and ABM. Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary marketing liaison to senior commercial leaders, ensuring alignment on priorities, messaging, and execution. Partner with Brand and Content, Product Marketing, Internal Communications, and PR to ensure consistent and compelling storytelling across all touchpoints. Performance & ROI Establish KPIs and frameworks to measure marketing effectiveness, campaign ROI, and customer engagement. Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and agile marketing practices. Budget & Resource Management Own the global commercial marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation and optimization of resources. Innovation & Market Leadership Champion new approaches to partner and account-based marketing, leveraging MarTech tools and emerging trends. Position Travelport as a tech-forward leader in travel retail through compelling go-to-market strategies. Could this be you? Progressive marketing experience including in B2B marketing, with a strong emphasis on global strategy and execution. Proven success in leading diverse, geographically distributed teams. Deep understanding of commercial marketing, account-based marketing, and executive-level engagement. Strong analytical mindset with experience in marketing performance measurement and optimization.
