Our client has a new opening for an experienced Sales Manager; in this key role you will be heading up the commercial and sales teams; you will be responsible for navigating the crossroads between business strategy and customer needs to optimise business profitability. Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team to drive forward the strategy for the business to deliver growth across both new business and existing accounts. Specific tasks include: Personally lead negotiations with existing and potential customers and through regular meetings, build relationships to maximise commercial opportunities with them Manage the end-to-end sales process for clients from engagement to sale, to delivery Ensuring that effective systems of control and information exist, routinely monitor sales performance against plan in order to maximise profit potential Develop robust sales plans and a commercial strategy, working within the constraints of operational capacity, that seeks to secure profitable new market share and gross margin growth, through a combination of new business and existing business development, via the lowest cost to serve Ensure sales plans/commercial strategy reflects the need to minimise stock levels, work in progress and customer debtor days in order to manage working capital Lead your teams with confidence, mange and motivate to achieve personal and business KPIs Key Requirements Sales Management experience in the UK engineering or steel industry A track record in managing and motivating teams to achieve and exceed A proven record of building up accounts and delivering results Confident in setting and achieving targets and KPIs Can drive & has a full UK driving licence The ability to travel as and when required Management salary & benefits to include: Highly Competitive annual salary Annual Bonus based on KPIs Company Car or Car Allowance Pension/Life Assurance/Other Extra Benefits Career development REF-223 025
