SEN Teacher Job Title: SEN Teacher Location: High Wycombe Start Date: October 2025 Contract Type: Full-time – Temp to Perm A specialist SEN school in High Wycombe is seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position, ideal for an educator with a passion for supporting students with autism, as well as associated needs such as speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and behavioural regulation. You will be working in a nurturing and well-resourced environment, with small class sizes and a high staff-to-student ratio. The school is dedicated to providing individualised learning that empowers every pupil to succeed and reach their full potential. About the Role: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the diverse needs of pupils with complex SEN, with a particular focus on autism Establish structured routines and utilise visual supports to enhance communication, understanding, and engagement Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, holistic support for each pupil Track, assess, and report progress in accordance with EHCP outcomes and personalised learning targets Implement evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, promote independence, and build life skills Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports both learning and well-being Engage in continuous professional development and contribute actively to the broader life of the school community The ideal candidate will: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential) Proven experience teaching Computer Science at secondary school level In-depth knowledge of the UK Computer Science curriculum A dynamic, hands-on, and engaging teaching approach Strong classroom management and effective communication skills Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Why Work with Supply Desk?
