Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing / FMCG)
Location: Lutterworth
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 (plus training, qualifications, overtime)
Overview
We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a background in production or manufacturing environments to join a well‑established maintenance subcontractor that supplies a distribution facility owned by a major global company. You’ll work primarily on production machinery, including automated conveyors and electrical control panels. The role involves pre‑planned maintenance, facilities maintenance, contractor supervision, occasional breakdowns, and emergency call‑outs. This position offers robust training, overtime opportunities, and a work‑life balanced shift pattern.
Responsibilities
* Conduct pre‑planned maintenance on production machinery and automated conveyors.
* Perform facilities maintenance and supervise contractors.
* Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues, including electrical control panels.
* Respond to occasional breakdowns and emergency call‑outs.
* Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks.
Schedule & Benefits
* Shift pattern: Week 1 & 2 – 6 AM to 2:15 PM; Week 3 – 2 PM to 10:45 PM.
* Emergency on‑call rota – 1 week in 4; overtime paid at 1.5×.
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
* 6.5% pension contribution.
Qualifications
* Maintenance Engineer or equivalent role.
* Background in manufacturing or production facilities.
* Commutable to Lutterworth.
