Role Overview As the company's Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance, ensuring best practices are maintained and continuously improved. This role requires a hands-on professional who can work collaboratively across departments to embed a strong health and safety ethos. Key Responsibilities Lead and support project teams in achieving high health and safety standards Champion company values across all stakeholders – employees, clients, subcontractors, and external partners Implement and maintain health and safety procedures across projects Plan, implement, monitor, and review protective and preventative measures Conduct SHE audits and inspections; record and follow up on findings Minimise operational risks, occupational health issues, accidents and injuries Attend and contribute to design and project meetings Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) Respond to health and safety-related questionnaires Provide advice on specialist topics including fire safety, hazardous materials, noise, and occupational disease prevention Ensure timely and accurate health and safety documentation for project teams Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal health and safety systems Update and maintain IMS documentation as required Liaise with relevant statutory and regulatory authorities Ideal Candidate Profile NEBOSH Certification (essential) Degree-qualified (preferable) Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety management role within the construction industry Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying up to date with legislation In-depth knowledge of relevant Health & Safety and Environmental legislation Experience delivering inductions, toolbox talks, and preparing RAMS Strong written and verbal communication skills Full UK driving licence What's on Offer A supportive and inclusive working environment Exposure to a variety of projects within a reputable organisation Competitive salary and benefits package Build Recruitment Limited acts as an Employment Business for the supply of temporary workers and an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
