Job Description
3. Operate and maintain plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
4. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment.
5. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
7. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve operational efficiency.
8. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.
9. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
10. Monitor plant performance and suggest process improvements where applicable.
The Successful Applicant
11. Qualified to ONC level / NVQ (or equivalent) in an appropriate Engineering/ process discipline.
12. Preferably a hands-on operator/ engineer with good experience gained in the Energy from Waste, Biomass, Power Station, Steam boilers, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Marine industries
13. Sound understanding of process flow
14. Experience of monitoring via SCADA
15. Effective worker, with a 'can do' attitude
16. Good numeracy skills, including the ability to interpret basic spreadsheets
17. Appropriate IT skills (confident use of Word, Excel etc.)
18. Good knowledge of Incineration and Power Generation or similar industry
