The Rosemary Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and motivated Bank Health Care Support Worker to join our friendly hospice at home team.
The Rosemary Foundation is a 24/7 nurse-led service providing palliative and end-of-life nursing care to adults with a life-limiting illness in their own homes, within a 15-mile radius of our base in Petersfield.
Candidates will need to be able to drive, have a current UK license, and access to a car. Experience in the care environment, confidence to work independently, and flexibility with working patterns including night on call are required.
Candidates should be passionate about delivering high-quality palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their families.

Main duties of the job
To work under the direction of a registered nurse, both independently and as part of the team. Support the nursing team in delivering direct patient care, aiming to provide high-quality, holistic, palliative, and end-of-life care to patients and their families.
You will actively engage with colleagues, patients, families, carers, and volunteers.
Anticipate and respond to changing patient needs while maintaining their independence, privacy, and dignity.
Understand and promote infection control practices and policies.
Assist in the implementation and delivery of patient care under supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
Ensure patients' rights are adhered to and that care choices are consented to.
Follow the patient's care plan, observe their condition, and report observations or changes to a registered nurse.
Provide support and information to patients, families, carers, and colleagues as appropriate and within your role, skills, and knowledge.
Be responsible and accountable for the standard of care given.
Follow guidelines for safe systems at work and maintain a safe working environment.

The Rosemary Foundation is a nurse-led hospice at home team covering 700 square miles in East Hampshire.
We are a charitable organization, and all care and services are provided free of charge. The Foundation is funded by donations, community fundraising, and legacies.
We work closely with GPs, community nursing teams, and specialist palliative care teams to ensure high standards of end-of-life care.
