Production manager

PRODUCTION MANAGERCMB Recruitment is working with a global manufacturing company, currently seeking an experienced Production Manager for their North Down facility. The successful candidate will plan and oversee multi line manufacturing to ensure the efficient use of resources, manage quality and ensure production deadlines are met. The Production Manager will manage a team of 60, liaise across multiple departments and report directly to the Operations Manager.THE ROLEDay to day responsibility for production and scheduling functionsEnsure H&S, Quality and Environmental standards are constantly metEffective utilisation of resources to meet production schedules efficiently and meet customer deadlinesStock management using ERP systemReporting on KPIs and developing KPIs in line with future state objectivesStreamline production where possible using lean manufacturing principlesEnsure timely and accurate communication with other departments and stakeholdersManage and develop a diverse team of 60 employees including Supervisors, Team Leaders and Operators.THE PERSONStrong relevant experience ofsuccessfully managing a multi-lineshop floorExperience of implementingcontinuous improvementinitiativesExperience of manufacturing products under ISO9001/ISO14001Proven experience of managing and reporting on production KPIs and suggesting appropriate improvementsBe a strongproblem solver, coming up with practical solutions to production issuesBe able to successfully manage and develop a team of varying experienceExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenA third level qualification inEngineering, Production Managementor similar would be beneficial but not essential, likewise a Six Sigma qualificationKnowledge of ERP systemsSALARYOur client is offering a very attractive salary and benefits package to attract high quality candidates with the actual amount dependent on the successful candidates level of relevant experience.TO APPLYPlease click on the link below to send your CV to us and we will contact you.
