West Herts College Group has an exciting opportunity for two Careers and Progression Advisors to join our dynamic GAP team. We have full-time and term-time only opportunities available. One role is based at our Watford and Hemel Hempstead Campuses, and the second role is based at our Barnfield Campus in Luton.
Responsibilities
 * Guide learners towards their future goals and help them make informed decisions about next steps, whether that’s university, apprenticeships, employment, or further training.
 * Deliver engaging group sessions on topics such as CV writing and the UCAS process and provide one-to-one careers guidance.
 * Ensure every student has access to high-quality, impartial support tailored to their individual needs.
Qualifications and Experience
 * The successful candidates should hold, be working towards, or be willing to work towards a recognised qualification in careers guidance (e.g. Level 3 or 4 in Careers Guidance and Development or equivalent).
 * Experience of working with young people in an educational setting and knowledge of careers education frameworks such as the Gatsby Benchmarks or Matrix Standard would be highly advantageous.

You will be supported by a high-performing team and will work closely with colleagues across curriculum areas, as well as with employers, universities, and community partners to bring careers education to life. Training and development opportunities are embedded in our culture, and you will be encouraged to grow your skills and innovate in your delivery.
Contract and Start
These roles will be 37 hours per week. The closing date for applications is Friday 31 October 2025. The successful candidates will join our team from January 2026.
