Job description
A prestigious specialist Litigation Solicitors are seeking a Litigation Paralegal who they will train over time. You will join a forward thinking organisation with a diverse workforce, focusing on high quality litigation cases to include (but not limited to):
1. Property Litigation
2. Commercial Litigation
3. Construction Disputes
4. Employment
5. Debt Recovery
As a Litigation Paralegal you will initially be supporting Senior Solicitors and Partners with this case load, before being trained to undertake your own files (whilst under supervision). Throughout you will receive market leading training and input, allowing you to reach your full potential. You will be responsible for duties such as:
6. File opening and closing
7. Providing quotes to prospective clients
8. Carrying out adequate checks on clients (e.g. AML, ID etc.)
9. Attending client meetings
10. Scanning, filing and preparing bundles
11. Drafting work
12. Conducting legal research and due diligence
13. Being the first port of call for client enquiries
The successful Litigation Paralegal will offer the following background/skill set/interests:
14. Be a recent graduate with strong academics (at least 2:1 classification - ideally 1st Class classification; and A-Levels at A/A*)
15. Ideally to have begun SQE
16. Demonstrate a genuine interest in Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution
17. Offer strong communication skills - both written and verbal
18. Have solid IT skills (this is a modern law firm which embraces technology)
19. Strong links to the Brighton/Sussex area.
