Staff Nurse - Endoscopy

A fixed term opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual who is keen to develop highly specialized endoscopy skills and actively contribute to delivering high‑quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and ERCP.
The post holder will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, assisting the endoscopist, monitoring patient safety throughout, and providing post‑procedural care and education.
The unit operates Monday to Sunday, 08:00‑18:30 (with weekend opening dependent on demand). Outside of these hours, an out‑of‑hours emergency rota is in place, and the post holder will be expected to participate in the on‑call rota.

Main duties of the job
To deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, and implementation and evaluation of the programme of the care. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.
Job responsibilities
Clinical
Take clinical responsibility for patients within your allocated area of work.
Continuously assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment, using appropriate programmes/methods of care.
To ensure a high delivery of quality care in accordance with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines. Participating in activities to improve the quality, productivity and effectiveness of care in response to local and national policies and initiatives.
To practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional conduct and scope of professional practice and maintain own NMC registration.
