Assistant Accountant – Ipswich (Hybrid Working Available - 3days at home 2 in office)

Based in Ipswich, this Assistant Accountant role sits within a well-established finance function, working closely with Management Accountants to support accurate reporting and smooth day-to-day operations. The position offers exposure across multiple areas of accounting, making it ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, variety, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy and control, including:
* Preparing daily supplier BACS payments
* Managing Sales and Purchase Ledgers, including posting receipts, issuing invoices, internal credit control, and resolving queries
* Completing bank reconciliations
* Reconciling vehicle stock to manufacturer statements
* Posting and reconciling rental department transactions
* Processing manufacturer bonus credit notes and reconciling related balance sheet accounts
* Posting and reconciling finance commissions
* Supporting accurate and timely month-end processes
* Producing reliable financial information to support management decision-making
* Reviewing general ledger accounts, including journals and intercompany transactions
* Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
* Assisting with internal and external audits
