Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Dessert Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite desserts and a strong background in food preparation within a restaurant environment. As an Experienced Dessert Maker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional desserts that enhance our guests' dining experience.
The candidate must have experience in making sundaes, waffles, crepes and cookie dough.
Responsibilities
* Needs to know how to make waffles, crepes, cookie dough and sundaes.
* Follow recipes accurately while also being able to innovate and suggest new dessert ideas.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Upsell dessert options to guests, enhancing their dining experience and contributing to overall sales.
* Implement effective time management skills to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Skills
* Proven experience in a restaurant or culinary setting with a focus on dessert preparation.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Proficient in basic maths for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes as needed.
* Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team while also being able to take initiative when required.
* A flair for creativity in dessert presentation and flavour combinations.
