Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
* Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
* Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen
* Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise operational efficiency
* Develop new menus in collaboration with management to keep offerings fresh and appealing
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and professional development
* Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
* Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and high performance
Experience
* Proven experience in a culinary role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
* Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing kitchen teams
* Background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP procedures, and hygiene regulations
* Experience in restaurant operations, including menu development, serving, and customer service excellence
* Previous roles involving team management and leadership within the culinary industry are preferred
