Job Summary:
We are looking for a confident and experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in leading the clinical and care teams. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring high standards of care, and maintaining full compliance with CQC and company policies. This is a leadership role suited for a skilled Registered Nurse passionate about elderly and dementia care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Home Manager in managing and developing the care home.
* Lead and manage the clinical team, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
* Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and regular reviews of residents' health.
* Ensure safe medication administration and accurate record keeping.
* Monitor compliance with clinical governance, safeguarding, and infection control policies.
* Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement activities.
* Mentor and supervise nurses and care staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Act as the senior point of contact in the managers absence.
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals.
Essential Requirements:
* Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
* Prior experience in a senior nursing or deputy role in a care home setting.
* Excellent clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
* Strong understanding of CQC regulations and person-centred care.
* Effective communication, problem-solving, and team management abilities.
