Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will assist in various kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and safety standards are met while contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers. Your passion for food and teamwork will be essential in maintaining the high quality of our meals.

Responsibilities

* Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and menus.
* Support the cooking team by helping with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
* Adhere to food safety guidelines and hygiene standards at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods.
* Participate in catering events as required, contributing to menu planning and execution.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen supervisor.

Experience

* Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is advantageous.
* Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is desirable.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
