Location: Office Based, Birmingham City Centre Salary: £27K - £28K Company Benefits The Role: We are working with our client, an established Law Firm, who are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their dynamic and growing team. As a Legal Secretary you will provide vital administrative support to their fee earners, ensuring they always have access to quality support, so that admin tasks are completed quickly and to a high standard. You will be a key member of the team working within a collaborative environment committed to providing excellent service to their clients! Role Responsibilities: * Provide full secretarial support to fee earners, including diary management, document preparation, and client liaison. * Dictation typing and preparing correspondence, documents, and forms. * Manage correspondence, filing, and maintaining client records. * Maintaining good organisation of new and ongoing files using an electronic case management system (Tikit). * Handle telephone and email inquiries from clients and external parties. * Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and firm policies at all times. Experience & Expertise: * Demonstrable experience as a Legal Secretary with Dictaphone & Audiotyping * Excellent typing skills, able to quickly and accurately process legal documents, including correspondence and bills, from manuscript or digital dictation, with minimal supervision. * Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload. * Experience of Tikit (or similar case management system) and BigHand dictation would be advantageous but not essential. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and a professional telephone manner. * Excellent IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly. * Proactive and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
