Length of employment: Job Summary: The Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) is a part of the Ministry of Defence responsible for the procurement, in-service support, and disposal of the UK's nuclear submarines. Our work is of unparalleled strategic importance nationally and internationally, ensuring the security of the UK's continuous at-sea nuclear deterrent (CASD), and delivering some of the most technically complex programmes in defence. At least one of four nuclear-armed submarines, supported by smaller attack submarines, is on patrol at all times: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Knowledge and Information Management Team as part of the Information Technology function. You will support the delivery of activities to ensure information is being captured, stored, distributed, used, processed, retained and disposed of, to meet legal requirements and MOD policy. Typical Responsibilities: -Working collaboratively processing customer requests in accordance with policy and service level agreements. -Support Records Management to ensure information can be stored, retrieved effectively and risks managed. -Support the management of a physical and an electronic library. -Assist with audits. -Support with the general day to day activities of the office. This is because the type of technology used is prohibited due to security. Flexible and condensed working patterns can be considered for this post but due to security constraints the role is not suitable for hybrid working. Regular in-person attendance is required (this is expected to be a minimum of 40%) to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role. The post does not offer relocation expenses. External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period. Please Note: Expenses incurred for travel to interviews will not be reimbursed. For this role, we are seeking the following: Ability to work collaboratively Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders Good attention to detail Essential skills; An understanding of Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) tools and frameworks. Working knowledge and understanding of relevant Information Technology (IT) and Information System (IS) principles and frameworks. Experience of working in an organisation and can evidence Learning from Experience (LFE). Experience and/or Relevant Qualification in administering MS tools or similar.
