Our Structure
The Finance, Commercial, Sustainability and Property (FCSP) Directorate manages and analyzes the agency’s financial and commercial activities. It reports on current performance, forecasts future budgets, and collaborates with stakeholders to shape the agency’s financial future.
The role is within the Project & National Interest Case Finance Business Partner Team, which provides project finance advice to stakeholders and senior leaders across a growing project portfolio.
We are recruiting a Level 7 Apprenticeship Cost Centre Manager within the FCSP directorate. This role offers an engaging opportunity within a team of finance professionals.
Alongside your role, you will pursue a full Level 7 Accountancy Professional apprenticeship, aiming to complete the CIMA qualification within up to 36 months, depending on your current qualifications. The apprenticeship is fully funded and a contractual obligation.
We also consider applications from candidates who are partway through or have completed their studies. If the successful candidate is too advanced in their studies to complete the Level 7 qualification via an apprenticeship, we may offer this as a fully-funded non-apprenticeship role.
The post is full-time – 36/37 hours per week, depending on location and terms. Part-time applications will be considered if the working hours meet the role and apprenticeship demands.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in activities such as:
* Managing the General Ledger & Cost Centres, including posting accruals and adjustments, assessing VAT compliance, and correcting journals as needed, in accordance with accounting standards.
* Managing Purchase Orders, including maintaining a PO Tracker and raising issues or closures.
* Providing reporting, including standard and bespoke reports for decision-makers and presenting at stakeholder meetings.
* Handling budgets, forecasts, and spending reviews, including variance analysis, forecast updates, and budget profiles.
* Covering for the Finance Business Partner during absences, building a network within the business area, and supporting queries related to your responsibilities.
