Are you passionate about coding accuracy and compliance? As an Outpatient Facility Auditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring our coding processes meet the highest standards. This position involves conducting detailed audits within the Epic system and delivering engaging educational sessions on code updates and rule changes. Collaborate closely with our coding team to enhance their performance and make a real impact!
Key Responsibilities
* Quarterly Education on Codes and Rule Changes:
o Deliver informative sessions on new and revised coding rules, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
o Ensure accurate coding and compliance through effective education.
* Coding Logic Review and Audit within EPIC:
o Review and audit coding logic in the EPIC system to align with current guidelines and payer requirements.
o Identify discrepancies and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
* Chart Audits:
o Conduct detailed audits on outpatient facility coders to ensure compliance and accuracy.
o Monitor progress towards achieving a 95% accuracy rate in quarterly chart audits.
* Denial Analysis and Coding:
o Analyze denial data to identify trends related to coding errors.
o Provide targeted educational sessions to improve coder accuracy and reduce denials.
o Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for addressing coding-related denials.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Extensive expertise in facility coding and denial analysis.
* Strong educational methodologies to enhance team performance.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
